Russian officials reported damage Tuesday from Ukrainian drone strikes at two fuel sites in Russia, while also saying Russian forces repelled attempted cross-border ground attacks by pro-Ukrainian militias.
Two groups that claim to be made up of Russians opposed to the Kremlin said they crossed into Russia.
Russia's defense ministry said Ukrainian "terrorist formations" tried to invade Russia from three directions, including targeting the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

Officials in the Tula and Kursk regions also reported Ukrainian drones being destroyed in those areas Tuesday.
In Ukraine, authorities issued air alerts in multiple regions overnight.
