Police in Hamburg, Germany, say the search continues for a motive behind a shooting Thursday at a Jehovah's Witnesses church.
A gunman opened fire at the church, killing several people, and wounding others.
"At the moment there is no reliable information on the motive of the crime," the police said.
The police have not released official casualty figures, but media reports in Germany say seven people were killed in the rampage and eight people were injured.
Police say they believe the gunman is among the dead and that he acted alone.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz condemned the "brutal act of violence" and said his thoughts were with the victims and their families.
Germany has been targeted by attacks in recent years by jihadists and far-right groups.
Some information for this report came from Agence France-Press and Reuters.
